Breakfast and dinner are at Hotel Lions Garden; lunch is at the Anonymus Bar, a short walk from the venue. All meals are taken with coupons.

Coaching in the field of play
Allowed only for coaches duly accredited and associated with the team in the VIS. Coaches not properly registered are not authorised on court. A detailed coaches' field-of-play document is on the CEV website.

Accredited access from 75 min before the first match until 30 min after the last match each day.

For environmental reasons the event uses refillable water dispensers on site. Everyone receives their own reusable bottle — please use it.

How it's played

Format & Golden Set

Eight nations per gender — country against country.

Competition format

Pools
Two pools of four nations per gender, played as a single round robin — country vs country "double-headers".

The top three nations in each pool advance to the single-elimination phase.

The pairs with the lower combined ranking points from each nation.

Match 2
The pairs with the higher combined ranking points from each nation.

Golden Set

Only in the single-elimination phase, when the tie is 1–1 in matches — played right after Match 2.

A single set to 15 points.

The Head of Delegation confirms in writing to the CEV Supervisor which athletes play — one from Match 1 and one from Match 2.

Uniform & accessory checks

What to verify on the athletes' kit.

  • Numbers 1–4 on the uniformEach athlete numbered 1–4, with the athlete's name on the kit.
  • Two kit colours per teamEvery team has both colours available.
  • Identical shorts / bikini-bottom colour within a teamSame colour across the team — including in the Golden Set.
  • Accessories approved at the Preliminary InquiryGear & accessories per the CEV Beach Volleyball Guidelines; branded accessories must be approved during the PI.

Kit colour per match: the Competition Management decides which of a team's two colours is worn for each match (broadcast reasons).

Who wears which polo colour

Each area wears a different polo colour so everyone is easy to recognise on site. You — the referees — wear the dark blue polo.
